This page is a simple repository for a few EEG-related videos I’ve made. The goal is to introduce the complete novice to some basics. It’s essentially intended to hold versions of the same info I would typically give to medical students or non-neurology (and new neurology) residents rotating on our child neurology team while we are reviewing EEGs. Now, this information is available here, because there are certainly times when I am too busy to do any teaching and these videos might be a helpful substitute. I suspect these could also be useful or of interest for patients getting an EEG, or for any non-medical person who is simply curious.
I will likely finesse a lot of the details. I won’t always use the most common or rigorously accepted terminology. But I’m certain each video will teach you a little about EEGs.
Apologies for the COVID-related (lack of a) haircut. One day we’ll have a vaccine and I’ll get a stylist.
Scroll down to see all the videos (currently only 1 quick intro and 3 videos containing EEG tutorials). Full-screen video or bigger screens work best, given the nature of EEGs.
